To Litentry Community Hi all, On August 14th, we proudly unveiled IdentityHub, a groundbreaking product designed to protect and facilitate the use of Web3 user identities via privacy computing. This launch marked the culmination of extensive research, development, and iterations. Today, we’re excited to walk you through the evolution of our product and share our vision for the future. — What is the IdentityHub? - IdentityHub bridges the gap between Web3 applications and user identities, addressing the prevalent challenge of decentralized identity databases in Web3 apps. The ethos of Web3 is decentralization and “permission-less use,” which has led to the widespread adoption of “identity-less logins.” However, as Web3 applications diversify, the demand for user identities intensifies. IdentityHub steps in to supply these apps with decentralized identity data, leveraging blockchain networks to ensure user identity sovereignty and privacy. Beyond merely providing identity data, IdentityHub employs Verifiable Credentials as the primary mechanism for identity data management. This approach guarantees that users have full control over the creation, encryption, and transmission of their identity credentials, preserving the decentralized, autonomous, and verifiable nature of their identities. Transitioning from the Web2 era’s centralized identity databases, IdentityHub pioneers a unique approach, offering an open, user-generated, and v...
| Litentry partners with Achainable — bringing your credentials to life Litentry partners with Achainable — bringing your credentials to life - Litentry is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Achainable. Together, we will collaborate on the core integration of web3 data indexing and analysis services. This synergy enhances both our positions in the Web3 DID domain, fostering the development of valuable web3 identity data. Additionally, it offers developers a flexible infrastructure to craft DID use cases. — The challenge accepted - Achainable addresses a challenge faced by Web3 developers in accessing detailed on-chain information and analyzing blockchain data. Their solution allows users to define complex on-chain conditions, which aids in creating detailed profiles of blockchain addresses. This capability has various applications, such as improving transparency for whitelists/airdrops, scoring users based on on-chain activities, and integrating customized labels for user profiles on third-party sites. — Litentry and Achainable, paving the way forward - Achainable’s expertise lies in accessing detailed blockchain data and analyzing it, complimenting Litentry’s efforts in managing user data across decentralized systems. This partnership is seen as beneficial for both parties, as Achainable helps enhance the precision of blockchain analysis for Litentry’s IdentityHub, and Litentry benefits from Achainable’s specialized data query capabilities. | Announcement: IdentityHub EVM Version Update and Our Commitment to Continuous Improvement Dear IdentityHub Users, Over the past 24 hours, we’ve reached a significant milestone with the release of the IdentityHub EVM version. However, with progress often comes challenges. We’ve observed an average concurrency of approximately 50, spiking to a notable 280. This is a staggering 5 times higher than our anticipated service throughput from stress tests, leading to two network crashes and one network restart. We’re pleased to report that the service has since stabilized, thanks in part to the easing of user traffic. — IdentityHub’s Current Infrastructure - For clarity, IdentityHub is currently operating on the Litentry Staging Network, a self-hosted substrate-based Parachain. This indicates that our product is still in its testing phase. The silver lining of this incident is that it occurred before our launch on the Litentry Main Network and before onboarding any use-case partners. This experience has provided invaluable insights into managing high request loads. One contributing factor to the high concurrency was the absence of gas fee charges, which typically help regulate traffic dynamically. While we’re exploring ways to optimize service capacity, especially concerning the TEE side chain performance, we recognize the need for a more sustainable solution. Discussions around introducing network gas fees are underway, but this will be accompanied by comprehensive research to determine the most effectiv...

| Your Questions in Decoded 2023 — Answered! Your Questions in Decoded 2023 — Answered! - Litentry at Polkadot Decoded 2023 After our big event hosted with Polkadot Decoded 2023 in Copenhagen, Litentry mingled around with participants at the booth and some interesting questions came about. We have taken the opportunity to collect questions, answer and give some insight on these topics. This article unveils some valid information and provides you with a better explanation of some of these questions and topics, along with some terminology used within Litentry and the IDHub explained. Sit back and relax while enjoying some fun facts! Let’s get educated. 😉 Good questions asked by participants: Where is the data stored? Most data are stored locally in the user’s device. The accounts relationship (IDGraph) is stored in the Trusted Execution Environment, which is only accessible when the private key of the identity owner is included in the request to open it. Currently, all the SGX nodes are under the control of Litentry, which minimizes the risk of attacks by malicious nodes. Where is VC stored? They are stored in the VC registry, an on-chain and public storage on the Verifiable Credential Management Pallet (VCMP) that maintains the VC Index <> VC Hash so that credentials can be verified. It contains only a map from the VC index and VC hash which is used to check the validity of the VC content. When a VC is generated, the Parachain VCMP extrinsic vc_issu...
