3 Use Cases that Illustrate the Buying.com Ecosystem

Buying.com is on a mission to create efficiency and solve the largest problems within the e-commerce industry. With a growing number of products and solutions, we are improving everyday scenarios in innovative ways for all types of businesses and restaurants. Let’s take a look at three use cases that best illustrate the Buying.com ecosystem. Use Case #1 Tech giant Sanyo is offering a special deal on 55-inch televisions. They list it on our WeBuy app with a minimum order quantity of 100 units. Traditionally, very few small retailers would be capable of buying 100 of these televisions at once and meeting the minimum order quantity for the deal — it’s either just too large a purchase or there’s no guarantee that they’d be able to resell that many TVs. But with Buying.com’s decentralized WeBuy app, multiple small retailers can now pool their resources and participate in tandem to meet the minimum order quantity requirements of the deal without having to purchase all 100 units on their own. Once the minimum order level is reached, the Buying.com platform springs into action. As always, we must discuss the functionality of the BUY token in this scenario. When consumers and small businesses participate in a deal on the WeBuy platform, they will make their purchases in $BUY token. This is a powerful use case for the token because we see the value of the token growing exponentially with the successful use of the Buyin...

Buying.com Is Excited to Announce the Long-Awaited Launch of Our Point of Sale Aggregation Terminal

Buying.com is excited to announce that our point of sale aggregation terminal is now available. This is a major development in convenience and simplicity for businesses and restaurants across the US. Here’s why. What is a Point of Sale Terminal? Let’s start with point of sale, or POS for short. This is a term that describes the time and place in which a retail transaction occurs. It’s the moment when a retailer calculates a final cost, gives a customer an invoice and offers the options available for payment. Every type of business that takes orders or collects payment from a customer goes through the point of sale process, but in order to do so, they need a physical hardware that performs these actual tasks. This is what’s called a point of sale terminal. In many cases it’s a tabletop tablet, or in more on the go commerce situations it could be a cube that attaches to a phone. But no matter the technology, a point of sale terminal is necessary to businesses everywhere. Why Buying.com’s POS Terminal is a Major Development for Businesses Restaurants are a great use case for understanding why the Buying.com POS terminal is a major development for businesses. To start, most restaurants these days use multiple aggregators to take and deliver orders, such as Uber Eats or GrubHub. This use of aggregators is convenient in many ways, but it also has its burdens. One problem is that every aggregator comes with its own POS t...

5 Ways Buying.com’s

5 Ways Buying.com’s Micro-Distribution Model is Giving Consumers and Businesses the Last Mile Advantage Last mile delivery is one of the most expensive and difficult problems plaguing the e-commerce industry, but Buying.com has unlocked the solution. Using decentralized micro-distribution, Buying is making last-mile delivery simple and inexpensive for businesses and consumers. What is the Last Mile Delivery Problem? Let’s start by understanding last mile delivery, a term used to describe a product’s journey from a transportation hub or warehouse to its final delivery destination, typically a consumer’s doorstep. While this may seem like the easy part of the process, the problem lies in the high delivery costs involved with this final leg of the trip — especially for small businesses. Certain big players like Amazon or Costco are able to remedy last mile delivery for customers by giving free delivery away in exchange for a yearly fee, but small sellers don’t have this option. As a result, these smaller players are forced to charge higher shipping fees and potentially lose customers. For this reason, last mile delivery is arguably the biggest and most expensive problem faced by e-commerce. This is where Buying.com and its unique utilization of micro-distribution enters the game. How Buying.com is Innovating Micro-Distribution A micro-distribution center, or sometimes termed micro-fulfillment center is a small l...
