| The Decentralized Identity for Smart Society 5.0 and Metaverse What is Decentralized Identity Decentralized identity (DID) is a new method of identifying a person or digital assets. Contrary to traditional methods, where all information is centrally managed by an organization or a government, decentralized identity does not depend on a single centralized authority. The traditional way of identification The traditional identity has many problems such as accessibility, security, privacy … The decentralized identity (DID), on the other hand, uses data from many data sources which are managed by the data owners and only owners can prove their identity, decide which information to share or grant the access to a specific organization. The following picture describes how DID work:Decentralized identity with support from UniChain In general, there may be three parties participating in the DID process. The Issuers: Provide/issue user information such as national ID, driving license, university diploma, bank account … The issuers may be government, bank, university or some other organization. Their identities are represented by the public key and stored on the blockchain network.Users or holders: The data owners. Data will be managed by the user’s wallet (a key pair). Users can decide which information to share and prove their identity with their signature.Verifier: The company or organization that verifies user’s identity and grants access to users. | New UniChain roadmap for smart society 5.0, Metaverse & Web3 UniChain is the next generation of layer -1 blockchain platform with high scalability, security and user-friendliness. It is a product of Uniworld Ecosystem and has been developed by Uni Dao Network. The mainnet was officially launched on June 4th, 2020. There have been hundreds of accounts (wallet addresses) registered since then and UNW (the native token of platform) has been widely accepted by the large community and big exchanges. For mass adoption and serving the smart society 5.0 as long as technology trends like NFT, Web3, Metavers … UniChain’s development team has researched, developed and drawn the roadmaps for the next few yearsThe core blockchain improvement When building UniChain, The R&D team from UniWorld and some members from the Uni DAO network studied and researched the drawback of the current blockchain platforms at that time (2019). In 2020, the first version of UniChain was released and the mainnet officially launched on June 4th that year. In the first version, UniChain utilized many concepts, features and some source code from Ethereum (UVM is based on EVM), Tron, Facebook Libra (for Hotstuff concept) … although UniChain combined many advantage features while keeping the compatible and friendly with legacy platforms and developers, our team realize that there are many thing need to be improved to serve for application and users at scale. The storage: Most of the current blockchain now uses th...

| How to upgrade to UniChain version 2 UniChain will perform the hard fork to version 2 between October 20, 2021 and October 25, 2021 through the voting mechanism. UniChain has already contacted most of the current witnesses, the hard fork proposal will be broadcasted to the network on around October 20, 2021. If the proposal is accepted by most of the witnesses (⅔ witness agrees on the proposal), the network will switch to version 2. It is obligatory to all other nodes to update to a new version in order to keep the same chain. Nodes that run the old version will be separated from the network and may not sync from other nodes. How to update nodes to version 2Download full node and relay node packages from official repository: Full node, relay nodeMove new packages to unichain version 1 folder. | UniChain is about performing hardfork around Oct 20th, 2021 As previous announcement, UniChain will perform the hardfork version 2 between October 20th and 25th, 2021. The hardfork is done through the voting mechanism of witness nodes. UniChain will create a hardfork proposal and broadcast to the network. When 2/3 of the witness nodes approve this proposal, the system will be automatically switched to the 2nd version. Witnesses and users running the current version need to upgrade the software (full node, relay node) to the 2nd version by October 20th, 2021. Download the latest version here: Full node, relay node, wallet cli In case the software has not been updated in time, the nodes running the old version will be separated from the main chain and cannot synchronize with the others when the network has switched to version 2. To synchronize again, the old nodes need to delete data and run the full node again, depending on the configuration of the machine and the network, it can take from a few hours to a few days for the nodes to sync all dataNew feature in UniChain version 2 The fee structures When starting the UniChain network, the fee concept is borrowed from Tron network ei Energy, Bandwidth concepts in the fee model. | UniChain hard fork version 2 features UniChain will perform the hard fork version 2 around block #11.000.000 (July). The harfork is the normal operation of development activity to enhance and improve the UniChain network when It has a big change or the changes that impact the core components or consensus. In this hardfork version, some bugs and vulnerabilities will be fixed, the two big changes must count into are the fee structure and the future balance.Top Blockchain Platform in 2021 The fee structures When starting the UniChain network, the fee concept is borrowed from Tron network ei Energy, Bandwidth concepts in the fee model. We soon realize that those models are quite complicated and may not have a good user experience (for example users must freeze balance to get energy in order to deploy smart contracts …). We will simplify the fee model like other platforms such as Binance Smart Chain or Ethereum so that the transaction fee will be calculated for each user’s usages while keeping the free fee model (ei each user will have some free transaction in a day). The frozen balance operation is still available but for getting voting power only. The future balance This is a simple function but maybe useful for many use cases including the escrow or commitment. This feature allows users to send UNW coins to others users but specify the time that the coin is available for spent. The following command in cli wallet demonstrate the usage > sendcoin Um918G...
| UniTools - The tool helps anyone interact with blockchain UniTools is one of the many products from the UniWorld ecosystem. It provides utility functions to interact with UniChain core network such as create a token, apply for a witness node or deploy/manage a smart contract. If you have created a token on the ETH network for ICO purposes, You’ll realize that It’s quite complicated and requires a lot of effort in writing/deploying ERC-20 smart contracts. It can only be done by experienced engineers. In contrast, creating a token on the UniChain network is a piece of cake with some simple clicks. End-users, even the grandmother will be able to do it easily. To create a token on unitools, go to unitools website and login with UniWorld account. UniWorld account is centralized and can be used for all UniWorld products. If you don’t have account, please go to the UniWorld website to register a new one. When accessed to Unitools successfully, navigate to the Token tool in the left panel, then click on the Create Your Own Token button. You need to fill all the information of the token, includingToken Name: the name of the token, It’s alo the ID of the token so please use the common alphabet letter with no space.Token Symbol: Symbol of the token, ex: ABC, CRX …Total Supply: Total supply of the token you want to issueConversion Ratio: The conversion ratio of your token with UNW, ex: 2:1 means 2 tokens will exchange 1 UNWExpired Time: Expire time of TokenUrl: Link to your websi...
