Blockchain transactions vs Credit card transactions Often you will find a comparative analysis between Visa and Mastercard’s transaction throughput vs. blockchain’s performance in unit of transactions per second. You can easily find the average size of credit card transaction data online; about 500 bytes in average and its throughput; 5,000 transactions per second. What these figures translate to in terms of blockchain (example: QWC) is like this, 5,000 txs per second x 60 seconds per minute x 2 minute per block. This translates to 5,000 x 60 x 2 = 600,000 transactions per block. The size of each block has to be close to 300 Mb per block.(600,000 transactions per block x 500 bytes per transaction) The current block size of QWC is 1Mb and it can hold up to about 1,000 transactions per block. If you look at it this way, the blockchain’s performance seems really slow. The more decentralized a blockchain is, the slower its performance can be. However, it is not the case and I would like to propose a counter-argument for this kind of analysis. For credit card transactions, the assets are not really moving. It is the credit that is given to users and the balance is charged to users on a monthly basis. So the actual transactions of assets from bank accounts to credit card company’s accounts take place based on contractual billing cycle, which is normally once a month per account. The credit card throughput is so called authorizations. Not transactions. The balance inform...
| Xecute is typing… Series #5, Announcement — November 20th 2019 Xecute is typing… Series #5, Announcement — November 20th 2019 - Dear all QWC members, How many old time members do we have in this channel? If you are more than 1 year, please let us know that you are still alive and still living in the crypto space. We are now listed in multiple exchanges and over the past 2 years, we have seen coins, tokens and exchanges come and go. QWC is still going forward. Devs are working on LMDB implementation for performance improvement on daemon side and also developing cross platform wallet that will work on not only mobile platforms (android and iOS) but also desktop and web platforms. Through LMDB implementation, the blockchain sync will be faster and use less resources on the computer/server. I can’t emphasize enough how important these steps are. We have wanted to move into mobile space since the beginning and we are finally near it. The next step is a multi-signature development and this is where we say goodbye to the rest of Cryptonote coins. The multi-signature implementation of Monero, the leading coin in Cryotonote, is not optimized for practical uses due to its complexity. We are currently studying that of bitcoin since it is known to have the most reliable multi-signature implementation among all coins. (Better than Ethereum for security reasons), Also our mobile wallet will be the medium for making this all possible. The best part of it is that we will make it easy for u...
| Xecute is typing… Series #4, Market Value Surge and Additional Exchanges Dear all QWC members, Thanks you for your support on the recent market movements including additional exchange listings led by our international communities. Up until June, tradings on QWC pairs took place in two exchanges, mainly Crex24 and BiteBTC. BiteBTC, which listed QWC with my personal funds, turned out to be an exchange that failed to build trust on our members. I apologize for the incidents. I personally wrote them emails numerous times but failed to get any replies regarding issues our members claimed. BiteBTC now has changed its name to Fedilo(fedilo.com) claimed to be owned by SBC, but I am not convinced that I could endorse this exchange to our members until all previous withdrawal issues are sorted out. New exchanges: Bituan(bituan.com) in Hong Kong and Citex(citex.co.kr) in Korea After listing on above two exchanges, the market value of QWC has jumped more than 10 times and the coin value is nearing 1 satoshi, which everyone hoped for. The coins are now more distributed over multiple markets and regions that the overall stability of market value and liquidation improved significantly. I just wanted to mention that what really drives the market is the our expectation. If we expect QWC to reach 10 satoshi, we will get there. If we only limit the future of QWC to 0.5 satoshi, that’s where it is going to stay. It will take some time and we expect to see some corrections even after we reach more exchanges in nea...

| Xecute is typing… Series #2, Announcement — April 8th, 2019 Xecute is typing… Series #2, Announcement — April 8th, 2019 - [Announcement — April 8th, 2019] Dear all QWC members, I would like to provide updates today. - 3rd Party Exchange and Trading In terms of trading, currently we are too, let me correct this, way too concentrated on one specific exchange and the shear sell volume on a price range is just mind-blowing. This must spread out over various exchanges to get the price moving. We are now on Bisq exchange, a decentralized BTC and fiat exchange. It has relatively low liquidity like any other DEXs. Their trading system is different from exchanges most of you experienced before, so we may have to create a guide for trading on this exchange. I am continuously getting in touch with new exchanges as well. If you find an exchange that promotes free listing, let me know. - Codebase Development 1. Bulletproof on Qwertycoin We have begun the implementation of Monero’s bulletproof on Qwertycoin blockchain. The lead time for codebase implementation will take about a month. 2. Deprecate Subaddress Integration Plan After a careful review over time, this feature may not be required for our blockchain. QWC is not going to be the best and leading anonymous coin, because we do not position ourselves that way in the market. I will discuss in more details later on. 3. Multi-Signature Wallet This feature might be useful for exchange wallets because we have experienced mor...
| Xecute is typing… Series #1, Announcement — March 19th 2019 Xecute is typing… Series #1, Announcement — March 19th 2019 - [Announcement — March 19th 2019] Dear all QWC members, It has been a tough year for a lot of crypto communities. We witnessed many pumps and dumps, exchange frauds, government regulations, and dying coins. Well.. the good news is we are still here, working on improvements and adding more features. Looking back last 12 months, the followings are the major events and achieved milestones users can notice. - Exchange Listing We are currently listed on Crex 24 (BTC), Bitexlive (BTC, DOGE), BiteBTC (ETH, DASH, BCHABC) and experienced exit scam exchanges: OctaEx, Crep Exchange, Altex. We will continue to add more reliable exchanges, mostly those listed in CMC will get priority. We will be included in the next update of bisq. Yay!!! - Community Now our telegram channel has about 850 members (after getting rid of bots) and I expect more new users or returning users once QWC retains some value in the market. We created facebook, twitter, and Instagram channels and also actively engaged in telegram channels for international communities. We are also planning to open a youtube channel for video contents. More team members joined to contribute to our network and established the QWC foundation. I expect to see more activities from foundation soon. We also have the first merchant who accepts QWC as a method of payment in UK and community members who crafted art...

| EPoSe (Egalitarian Proof of Service), Rewards for EPoW (Egalitarian Proof of Work) EPoSe (Egalitarian Proof of Service), Rewards for EPoW(Egalitarian Proof of Work) - — As of February 24th, 2020, Qwertycoin core team has begun testing a new reward algorithm as a part of achieving EPoW. - This reward algorithm has several different parts to the original reward schedule CryptoNote uses. Before we begin to discuss the details of this change, I would like to clarify our philosophy and intention behind this change. The word ‘egalitarian’ stands for the following; “Egalitarianism, or equalitarianism, is a school of thought within political philosophy that prioritizes equality for all people. Egalitarian doctrines are generally characterized by the idea that all humans are equal in fundamental worth or moral status.”-from Wikipedia “ Egalitarianism is a trend of thought in political philosophy. An egalitarian favors equality of some sort: People should get the same, or be treated the same, or be treated as equals, in some respect. ”- Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy The original developers sought to achieve such egalitarianism in mining by the following text; “ …we propose and ground the new proof-of-work algorithm. Our primary goal is to close the gap between CPU (majority) and GPU/FPGA/ASIC (minority) miners. It is appropriate that some users can have a certain advantage over others, but their investments should grow at least linearly with power. More generally, producing special-purpos...

| EPoSe (Egalitarian Proof of Service), reducing blocktime and increasing throughput of transactions… EPoSe (Egalitarian Proof of Service), reducing blocktime and increasing throughput of transactions without creating forks - As mentioned in the previous medium posts, EPoSe is a hybrid consensus that requires node’s mining and verification operations like any other blockchains. EPoSe(Egalitarian Proof of Service), a new consensus mechanism, EPoSe (Egalitarian Proof of Service)-Reward System, Through implementing EPoSe consensus, QWC blockchain will be able to accomplish one of the ultimate goals, reducing blocktime and increasing throughput without jeopardizing blockchain’s stability by preventing forks. I am going to skip some of the basic explanations about possible outcomes arising from reducing blocktime and block reorg activities. Please find more information about it from the following link.(monero.stackexchange.com) Problem and Solution #1 If mining is operated within cpu bound, it will can definitely create multiple forks and they may never merge to the longest chain. In order to solve this problem, a technique called dynamic hash vector(DHV) will be used; a large amount of nodes’ mining power of will be randomly forwarded among uptime nodes, allowing the probability of finding block from such node mathematically absolute. This will prevent network from creating forks and protect it from centralization attempts. EPoSe system does not reward to individual nodes upon finding a block so all malicious attempts ar...
