Maximizing Efficiency and Security: A Look into Modefi’s Latest Development Updates
Modefi has been making strides to revolutionize the way we access and use data in the decentralized finance and blockchain space. Over the past few months, starting from the private beta launch in September, the team has been working tirelessly pushing over 300 commits a month(SOL averages 239 commits/month with 100+ contributors) to bring you the latest advancements in decentralized data solutions. From major improvements including the introduction of a soon to be released, optimized consensus algorithm (more on that below), to smaller optimizations and improvements, the team has been dedicated to putting Modefi at the forefront of the Oracle industry. We are excited to share the progress we’ve made and thank everyone who has participated in our beta program. The feedback and support have been invaluable in helping us refine and improve our platform. So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the updates and advancements we’ve made during this time. — Consensus Update! - We are thrilled to announce that our On-Demand Oracle is undergoing a major upgrade to improve its data validation process. Our team has been grinding every day to implement a new consensus mechanism that will prevent unnecessary slashing and inconsistent data formatting. This new solution will ensure that users have a seamless experience while providing data and will build more confidence in the ODO as a trusted source of information. ...
Welcome to the Launch of the Modefi On-Demand Public Beta!
READ THIS FIRST - First and foremost you will need to add the Fantom Testnet to your metamask. You can find details at the end of this article on how to do so. After connecting to the Fantom Testnet, deposit your MOD tokens into the platform ( beta.modefi.io ). You can do this by clicking the avatar on the top right corner and selecting “Deposit Tokens”. Please DO NOT deposit your $FTM at this time, only your $MOD. Once deposited there is a 24 hour waiting period till you are able to validate. The sooner you do this the better. The intention of the initial beta is to get as much feedback from everyone as we can, as well as reward you for your hard work. — Earning (Real) Rewards - The beta will have a few options for you to earn some extra rewards during the initial beta process. Those options are as follows (more may be added later): ODO tutorial scavenger hunt, Create a unique contract, Create your own scavenger hunt, Game the system contest, Create a contract with your favorite events/sport/team/etc, Validate all the things!, Tutorial Scavenger Hunt The team will create a scavenger hunt using the ODO to train you on how to use the system. We have selected many parts of the ODO we think are essential to know and master the system. We will also create supplemental videos to help you through your first experience. If you think we missed anything in this general overview/tutorial/videos, please feel free to ...

Update 7–Development and Staking
While the entire cryptosphere is screaming “BEAR”, we aren’t concerned the slightest bit. We don’t have time to waste worrying about something that will be irrelevant since the volume and demand for MOD will be driven by the On-Demand Oracle once live. When we reveal the On-Demand Oracle on the Modefi Platform, it will be bear-proof, recession-proof, and housing bubble proof (although MOD isn’t a house, clearly, but we will cover that sector as well, rise or fall). Why will the Modefi ecosystem be immune to major market swings? The On-Demand Oracle (ODO) won’t be stuck being just a price feed JSON parser. Oracle’s have so much more potential than that. The ODO is a set of smart contracts, custom API, and a web front-end designed and built from the ground up that provides a fully-customizable oracle solutions that can be used by any and all industries for limitless requests. Scale to whatever number of datasets suits your need. We got you.Alright, great you made something cool…now what? Since the ODO is fully customizable it will allow “you” the user to setup everything however you please. — Decentralized Wagers. — Want to set up a wager with a few friends online? *cough* Do Kwon Wager *cough*. We got you covered (5–10 minute setup). Decentralized, P2P, and no “trusted” escrow required. — Decentralized Tournaments. — You stream? Set up an entire tournament with the ODO, mu...
Update 6 – 1.233 Million Lines of Code Later
Outline Code Update Modefi’s Future Development Update Git Comparison Activity Completed Development Items Items in progressCode Update Currently, we have several different developers pushing front-end, back-end, and contract code out from scratch every day! According to the GitHub tracker CryptoMiso, Modefi is pushing more development than some of the largest projects in the space including Solana, TrustWallet, and Chainlink — More on this below. Recently, we had Jesse (our CTO / lead dev) and our platform developers calculate all of the code they have personally written and pushed to date. Jesse’s Code (Smart contracts) Front-end + Back-end Dev’s Code Officially, Jesse has pushed 1.153 million lines of code building towards the most intuitive, secure, and optimized platform possible. Yes, that’s 1,153,305 lines of code. So we decided it was time for Jesse to get a new keyboard to optimize his throughput as he was pushing his old setup so hard that keys were starting to melt. 🔥🔥Modefi’s Future When we told you the platform would encompass entire industries, we meant it. Long days have been spent debating topics such as design, ease-of-use, disputes, timelines, cancellations, the list goes on. Going through them with a fine-tooth comb to ensure the Oracle could capture as many use cases as we could think of, as well as more general aspects that will help future ideas flourish. The On-demand Oracle is ...

We are excited to announce the next step in our multi-chain staking of $MOD. The next round of staking will be on the Fantom Network on the decentralized exchange SpookySwap. Hello Earthlings! My name is Mod-erator, ruler of Modefia (Well, soon to be ruler…again). The planet has been taken over by some horrible creatures, called the Fudders. |An Nvidia RTX 3090 Mod Could Reportedly Make GPU Crypto Mining More Effi...
A PC gaming electronics researcher made headlines in the PC world this week after finding a way to boost the computational efficiency of the Nvidia RTX 3090 card per kWh. That could save the GPU crypto mining community some coin on the electric bill.
In Chemnitz, Germany, a one-man hobbyist PC gaming researcher by the name of Igor Wallossek recently found a way to cut the power consumption of the Nvidia RTX 3090.
A report about the home lab electronics caper by Hassan Mujtaba for WCCF Tech explains why this is a breakthrough for anyone who uses the GPU:
“NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card is without a doubt the most power-hungry graphics card ever launched, sipping over 500 Watts of power and requiring insanely massive GPU cooling solutions to keep the heat in check.”
Of course, cryptocurrency industry watchers know it’s not just full-time gamers who stand to save some money if Igor’s efficiency mod to the chip is replicable by others.
Unless they’re using the ASIC chips specially designed to mine cryptos like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Monero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC), and others— GPUs remain the most effective way to mine cryptocurrency.
Igor Labs Mods Nvidia RTX 3090 for Big Efficiency Boost
Out of the box, the RTX 3090 has a manufacturer reference TGP (total graphics power) of 450W. That’s how much power the graphics subsystem requires to run the chip and keep it from over...
