Groundbreaking Blockchain OS projects — Decentralized Order Book Exchange.

PIONEERS. — — Groundbreaking Blockchain OS projects — Decentralized Order Book Exchange. - — A series about Web2 and Web3 pioneers on The Blockchain OS. — Introducing Peter, Laszlo and Mark from Dakai. Web3 developers advancing the movement of blockchain technology with their decentralized order book exchange (DEX). Developing with Python and SQLite as a database engine, they found they can use it in just the same way on The Blockchain OS as they’d use it in Linux. Want to hear more about how they’re paving the way for developers to innovate with blockchain technology? Keep reading…. — A Decentralized Exchange (DEX) - “So we’re building a decentralized order book exchange, which will provide users with the best possible experience because prices are going to be the actual market prices of the exchange. The users who are using this exchange are going to determine that. This eliminates the need for liquidity providers where companies like Pancake Swap, charge fees for every transaction. This requires more computing power than an average computer can provide — but with Cartesi that problem is quickly removed, and in turn, this means a speedier, more efficient transaction.” — Processing power - “A market sell or something similar can demand plenty of processing power. If you tried to do that in a traditional blockchain environment, you’d probably need to split this ...

Groundbreaking Blockchain OS Projects — Decentralized Battleship Game.

Groundbreaking Blockchain OS Projects — Decentralized Battleship Game. - — A series on the Web2 and Web3 pioneers on The Blockchain OS.. — Productive developer Lachezar says his start with blockchain was a cinch. There was lots of documentation provided by Cartesi and he was able to gain most of his blockchain knowledge through actually developing his decentralized apps and not having to go through learning all the intricacies of Solidity first. The Blockchain OS provides developers like Lachezar with a Linux operating system: the framework, languages, and libraries that can run on it. This meant freedom to bring his ideas to reality on blockchain — without feeling the limitations of Solidity. For Lachezar, it wasn’t just an interesting experience, but a chance for him to help others get on board with blockchain too. — No Solidity - “What I like about The Blockchain OS is that I don’t really have to deal with the blockchain. I’m able to use programming languages that are already familiar to me, such as C++, Python, and JavaScript, which is great! The Cartesi Machine hid all the complexities of the blockchain, and that makes the development so much easier. I have no real experience with Solidity, I’ve taken a basic course to get familiar with it and found it very limiting — at some point, I need a higher expressivity level, like parsing strings for instance. In Solidity, I can’t ...

Groundbreaking Blockchain OS Projects — Content Ownership & Chess.

PIONEERS. — — Groundbreaking Blockchain OS Projects — Content Ownership & Chess. - — A series on the Web2 and Web3 pioneers on The Blockchain OS.. — Meet Alexander, a front-end and back-end developer from Scalac who has his eyes set firmly on achieving great things. From checking online chess moves are played in a fair manner between players, he’s also finding ways to make sure image creators maintain their image rights without losing out from illegal usage. Here’s how he jumped on to The Blockchain OS, and in doing so, how he’s creating a brighter, fairer future for us all. — New pioneer - “Actually, I only very recently started working with blockchain. I began as a back-end developer, then jumped onto Angular, and gradually specialized in front-end development. However, back-end technology stayed prevalent in my work life — maybe that’s why I took interest in blockchain. To be honest, at first, I wasn’t sure about blockchain; nine years ago a friend told me he’d invested in a now well-known crypto project and I was more than concerned for him. Now though, even after the recent fall of some crypto projects, I think blockchain has proved itself to be of value. It’s maturing. It’s getting somewhere, and I’m positive this technology will work — will disrupt in a good way.” — Creative ownership - “Imagine an online tool that would allow people to...

CoinGecko Podcast: Building Layer-2s with Cartesi Co-Founder Erick

Highlights from Ep. 68 of CoinGecko’s Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency Insights Podcast. — Did you miss it? Cartesi co-founder, Erick de Moura, recently sat down with Bobby Ong, host of the CoinGecko podcast, to share his take on the future of blockchain. For Erick, the long-term vision of Web3 and blockchain is not to stay with the simple DeFi smart contracts and their soaring expenses. He sees a much more sophisticated set of applications to bring a bigger user base.“What you see nowadays with Web3 and Crypto are merely a few successful DeFi and NFT applications. In order for us to get to where we want to be, we still need to solve serious technological limitations. Only then do we have an ecosystem where a large number of developers can trigger a Cambrian explosion of innovation. Only then can we create a brighter Web3 future together.” Hear more from the man himself with these highlights from the podcast… — Tell us about Cartesi - “Back in early 2018 when we started out, there was a huge bear market. Our idea was to tackle the problem of scalability — we saw that if we didn’t solve this issue, we’re not going to have massive adoption of blockchain. So, we wanted to get a handle on scalability. We wanted to bring a real operating system to the blockchain. And with an operating system, that brings our current mainstream software stacks to the world of smart contract developers. The reality now...

They’re paving the way for public transport to flow more efficiently through Brazil. Here’s to their incredible achievements, as they develop apps that show us how they can improve the lives of millions of people simply by creating a more dynamic, trustworthy transport system. Thanks to The Blockchain OS, they’re pushing data privacy, while creating greater levels of transparency for all. — Two apps, one common goal.. — “Right now we’re developing two different apps. The first enforces public services such as buses running in their correct manner with efficiency and reliability in mind. With the bus application running in a decentralized manner, it means anyone can check that their bus will arrive at the right time, and also if they’re running late. The second app is focused on privacy — it’s about finding ways to create transparency on how data is stored and used while enforcing greater levels of privacy. Both aim to improve the lives of millions of people across Brazil.” — Motivation for research. — “Four of my students at the Fluminense Federal University seemed to be highly motivated about blockchain, and as their professor, I wa...

Coinbase Sued for Allegedly Selling 79 Unregistered Crypto Securities &m...

A class-action lawsuit has been filed against the Nasdaq-listed cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase alleging that the platform lets customers trade 79 cryptocurrencies that are unregistered securities, including XRP, dogecoin (DOGE), and shiba inu (SHIB).Lawsuit Claims Coinbase Sold 79 Unregistered Crypto Securities to Customers A class-action lawsuit was filed last week against Coinbase Global Inc., Coinbase Inc., and CEO Brian Armstrong. Lead plaintiffs and Coinbase users Christopher Underwood, Louis Oberlander, and Henry Rodriguez allege that from Oct. 8, 2019, to the present, Coinbase let customers buy and sell 79 different cryptocurrencies without disclosing that they are in fact securities. The plaintiffs added that these crypto securities are not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or any state regulators, and Coinbase is not registered as a securities exchange or a broker-dealer. The plaintiffs claim that 'Coinbase's sale of these tokens violates both federal and state law.' The class covers all persons or entities who transacted any of the 79 crypto tokens on Coinbase or the Coinbase Pro platform during the class period. Without registering these crypto assets with the SEC and state regulators, the plaintiffs said: Purchasers do not have access to the disclosures that accompany the issuances of traditional securities. Rather, investors receive - at most - only the so-called whitepapers, which describe the token, but do not satisfy the requi... read More
