Initiative; Trade trash for cryptocurrency

An employer on our blockchain-based freelancing platform published an environmental job open worldwide and paid in cryptocurrency. Candidates worldwide competed for the job of cleaning up a wild landfill in their area and getting paid in crypto. Could initiatives like this one shed the stigma and redefine the environmental impact of cryptocurrency?Wild landfill alongside Nairobi river, cleaned up by CryptoTask freelancers — Is crypto still safe? - It’s been rough several months for the crypto market. While switching to a decentralized future takes time, the media continues to focus on the “crypto crash,” prolonging a negative narrative regarding the entire blockchain industry. In the midst of it all, it’s easy to forget the benefits of cryptocurrency; protection of monetary assets from inflation, low transaction costs (if any), the possibility of making transactions at any time of the day or night, no limits on purchases and withdrawals, and overall improving the efficiency of the financial system. For instance, hundreds of employers and freelancers on our blockchain-based freelancing platform make daily transactions within seconds; from USA to India, Switzerland to China, Germany to Ukraine,…we could go on. Recently, one of our European employers proved the point by publishing an environmental job open for freelancers worldwide and won by a candidate from Kenya who suggested cleaning up along the Nairobi ri...

What is escrow; definition and benefits in the online world

Photo by Brooke Cagle on Unsplash You’ve probably heard this term thrown around here and there. You may even know what it means. But as more and more people are turning to remote work, it is good to inform those who have just jumped on board. What is escrow payment and how does it work? What does Escrow mean, though? Don’t worry, it’s nothing complicated. Escrow refers to a way of handling financial transactions. When there is a transaction that needs to happen between a buyer and a seller, a third party/agent will hold the agreed amount and keep it until the obligation has been fulfilled. This protects all parties involved from any malicious intent and/or practice. There are certain industries where escrow payments are essentially mandatory. For example, when it comes to purchasing something big like homes and other real estate, the involvement of an escrow agent is almost inevitable. They’re also common in the context of the stock market. Of course, nothing good comes easy (or free), so the third party (agent or a company) will usually require a fee for their services. Additionally, you want to make sure that the escrow agent or company is someone you can trust, otherwise, you’re just creating the same problem you were trying to solve with escrow. Online escrow payment Unsurprisingly, many online transactions have in recent years involved escrow. This is because the nature of online transactions is more anon...

The big update

This is it, the big one. You know when nothing happens for a while, and then suddenly — boom, a storm from a clear sky! First of all, a short update on what has been going on recently. We were quiet because we were preparing a great delight for all our users and followers. We realized we have a great treasure on our hands, the one that can benefit CryptoTask immensely! So, we decided to use it in the best possible way. In 2016 Vedran created what would be the first ever strategy game on Ethereum blockchain, called Etherization. We realized it could be made into a valuable historic NFT, and went ahead and created a wrapper that puts the NFT owner in the 2016 original smart contract!Original Etherization game screenshot The NFTs represent cities that were used in Etherization, a strategy game that was deployed on September 16, 2016.Screenshot of Etherization’s contract deployment date The Etherization world is made up of 1,156 cities spread out over a 34 by 34 map. Over the past month, Vedran has worked to turn off all of the gaming mechanics so that owners of each NFT are safe from attack and the possibility of losing their NFT. This was done by turning off the secondary “utilities” contracts that were responsible for the in-game mechanics and replacing them with a wrapper which also serves to create a seamless minting process to get the NFTs onto Opensea. — -Why is this important for CryptoTask, you will ask...

AMA Session Recap (5 November)

November is here, and so is the first AMA session of this month!AMA Session Recap Let’s take a look at your questions! Q: Has there been contact with the MEXC exchange to get listed? A: Yes, our team sent an email to the suggested MEXC and they’re pinging the rest of them. Also, the team is looking for closer contact with more exchanges. Q: What’s the plan regarding the token price? A: We will finalize the visibility package prices, so people will be able to spend CTASK on the platform finally, which also leads to token burn and higher values! People have to realize this is a platform with users on both sides and it’s amazing that a small team like this managed to build it and make it fully functional in such a small timeframe. Not to mention we built it on blockchain which only makes things harder. That being said, the token price will see its increase as we move forward. Q: Are there any plans regarding marketing? A: We are hiring one more full-time marketing officer to tackle the new tactics. Right now we’re focused on getting a good CEX and solving those fee issues once and for all. The project is stronger than ever, and the marketing team is expanding just for the reason to bring more eyeballs to it. Q: Do you plan to conduct a weekly AMA session? A: You can always ask questions in the Telegram group and the team will forward them. We’ll reply as soon as possible. Q: Are there funds set aside if KuCo...

After the new roadmap updates, it’s our primary duty to speak to our community!. — AMA Session Recap Let’s take a look at your questions and our answers for today! Q: What is the roadmap like, and where can I have a look? A: You can check the newly updated roadmap here. Also, there is a blog if you want a closer look! Q: Is there a CryptoTask Brave extension in the works? Not yet, but we are in close relations with them, and we’re running ads on the Brave browser. Q: How easy will it be for non-crypto users of the platform to pay for the services using fiat onramps? What would the process look like? We want the whole process to be done in a couple of clicks, just like on some more mainstream platforms. We aim to dumb it down as much as possible and streamline the UX as much as possible. UX is everything, and we want our users to feel at home. Much thought goes out to every aspect of the platform, and we’re delighted to see increased job post numbers lately, which shows worth it. We want to bridge the distance between crypto and non-crypto users of the platform, a lot. The more straightforward use product is, the better. Q: Where are we standing regarding user numbers? Since we acquired some Facebook groups, the number of jobs has increased dramatically. They are onboarding users to the CryptoTask platform. Those groups consist of many users; we are constantly improving and running ads on Brave, Facebook...
