Conceal Community Spotlight: Acktarius Making Conceal Onboarding Accessible. — As we close this year, we have asked a couple of our community members who are building and investing time to help build the Conceal Network further. To get it kicked off, we asked Acktarius to answer a couple of questions about themselves, how they got involved and what they have been working on. He has an extensive background in engineering doing R&D in supply chain management, production, and construction as well as a master’s in wood sciences. He had been working for over 15 years as an airline pilot, but as with many others tied up in the commercial and tourism industries, he found himself at home without a job. It was during this time that he discovered crypto and began experimenting with getting some initially from faucets. From this initial interest and a couple of YouTube videos later he found himself starting to mine on his laptop computer. Although the rewards initially were pretty limited, he soon updated and started mining on his son’s old gaming computer an R9 270X. In April 2021, he built his first mining thinking along the lines of a product lifecycle that he gained from his background in SCM.ꜱᴀᴠᴀɢΞ \m/ ɪɴΞ It was SavageMine that introduced him to Conceal through his YouTube videos. At the time he was CPU mining XMR, already having an interest in the privacy space. The things that perked his interest in Conceal, like many of us, were the addit...
| Why Privacy? And why it should be important to you!. — This is the start of a series on Privacy going through probing questions about its importance and how Conceal Network aims to address those points. The advent of blockchain technology can unarguably be traced back to Bitcoin as one of the initial players in the space to leave its mark and continue to grow. One thing that isn’t apparent about Bitcoin is that it does have a lack of privacy within its protocols and at best provides pseudo-anonymity. In short, you can almost be anonymous. With enough data points and analysis on UTxOs movements, if someone wants to know more about you they probably could. Even Satoshi himself identified some core principles around which a privacy-based framework could be used to instill privacy into the protocol, but they were never integrated directly within Bitcoin itself. — krypt0x on Twitter: "#Satoshi talking about the core idea behind $CCXStealth Addresses + Ring Signatures@ConcealNetwork #privacy by defaultSource: t.co #bitcoin #blockchain #ledger pic.twitter.com/smVs1cVFY7 / Twitter" - Satoshi talking about the core idea behind $CCXStealth Addresses + Ring Signatures@ConcealNetwork #privacy by defaultSource: t.co #bitcoin #blockchain #ledger pic.twitter.com/smVs1cVFY7 One of the first and most famous attempts to implement privacy within a blockchain was done by Nicholas van Saberhagen. | Introducing the Conceal Web Wallet The Conceal Web Wallet Good Day Concealers! Today we are very happy to announce the official release of our very first, completely Client-Side Web Wallet for the Conceal Network! We have heard many of you over the years expressing Concerns over our Cloud Wallets being a centralized service. While it was created only for user convenience, we also understand why some may not wish to use such a wallet, especially in order to guard their Privacy and Security to the best of their ability. Because of these concerns, our tool for convenience actually ended up becoming an inconvenience for many who simply wanted an effective mobile or web wallet without needing to connect to a third party(in this case, the Conceal Cloud Servers) and log in with any type of credentials. And so, in an effort to live up to our ideals of Top-Notch Privacy, Security, and Decentralization, we thought it was necessary to work towards an easy-to-use web wallet that would allow users to access their CCX with no central authority and from any device. Enter the Conceal Web Wallet. With this new wallet interface, Concealers can create a new wallet, restore an old wallet from either a seed phrase or private keys, sync the Conceal blockchain, and send/receive CCX, all from within your browser! Your wallet keys will be encrypted and stored on your device, furthering our goal of complete Decentralization, no sign-ups or logins are required! Our new Web Wallet wil...

Filan 103k+ (beware of imposters) (@FilanLaw) June 15, 2022
As stated in a brief shared by defense lawyer, James K. Filan, the Ripple defendants stated no objection to the SEC's move to seal off some exhibits in their entirety, including those identifying information about the expert. It states that the SEC decided to seal the remainder of the exhibits and its proposed redactions to the opposition letter it filed. Ripple feels that the SEC 'has not satisfied the standards in sealing off the documents.'
Further, 'the SEC has requested redactions of passages that demonstrate the weakness of the expert's analysis.' These passages do not pose any safety risk but instead appear to be targeting information that would reflect weakness in the SEC's case.'
In previous updates, the agency filed a letter requesting that the court seal a portion of Exhibit A to the Ripple defendants' latest filing regarding the insuff...
